  • When does the programme start?

The programme launches in March.  We will be setting up groups in various faculties at various times and locations around UCT.

  • How do I find out about workshops and events?

  • What does this cost?

This is a free programme. 

  • What if I sign up for the certificate programme and miss a session?

Email me.  There might well be a session running in different faculty that you can join for that workshop.

  • What if I haven’t signed up for the certificate programme, but I’ve attended most of the workshops and I want to get the certificate?

Not a problem.  We will work out a sensible schedule for you to make the submissions, receive your assessment and a certificate.

  • What are these submissions?

The submissions are proof of engagement with the field of higher education.  Your submissions form the heart of your ePortfolio. Submissions range from the practical to the abstract.

  • How does the programme benefit me?

s.e.a.TEACH offers you an opportunity to develop your teaching practice and social responsiveness. we do this through exposure to theory, reflective practice and the construction of a teaching portfolio.  Teaching portfolios include items like teaching philosophy statements, peer and expert observations, and evidence of innovative teaching.
