Becoming a changemaker makes it to the Top 10 MOOCs of 2016
Once again UCT MOOCs has made it into MOOC aggregator Class Central’s Top 10 MOOCs of 2016. This year the Becoming a Changemaker Introduction to Social Innovation free online course was ranked amongst other top University MOOCs, following in the footsteps of What is a Mind which made the list last year.
The list is compiled from reviews written by users of the site and with approximately 2600 courses having been offered for the first time in 2016, the UCT MOOCs team, with the Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the UCT Graduate School of Business and RLabs (both collaborators on the course) can be proud of this achievement.
On hearing the news, MOOC team project manager Sukaina Walji was elated saying “we are thrilled about this acknowledgement for the educators who developed this MOOC and delighted that learners worldwide are finding the course useful and engaging”
With five more MOOCs being planned for launch in 2017 the team are looking forward to sharing UCT’s teaching with more and more diverse audiences globally. Sign up for MOOCs from UCT.
