Glenda Cox at the OpenEd Colloquium

DOT4D Principal Investigator Dr Glenda Cox was recently invited to Nelson Mandela University where she will be presenting at their first Open Education Colloquium. The Open Education Colloquium aims to create spaces for higher education students and staff to engage with key issues and opportunities related to Open Education Resources. 

Drawing on her work with the DOT4D project, Dr Cox will be talking about the full transformational value proposition of OER related particularly to Open Educational Practices and a collaborative approach to generating knowledge and sharing resources.Her presentation will also share the DOT4D research approach, drawing on Nancy Fraser’s theorising on social justice and Margaret Archer’s conceptualisation of agency.

Dr Cox’s presentation forms part of DOT4D advocacy activity, which is aimed at promoting greater exchange and collaboration between South African higher education institutions on issues related to open education policy development and implementation.
